Twitchy Day 6 - Pembroke to Milford Haven

It was a really lovely day for a hike, as we continued our journey around the huge Milford Haven estuary. We left our lovely little Pub in Pembroke, circled the Pembroke Castle, before moving through to the next town of Pembroke Dock.

Like the last couple of days our journey was peppered with lovely paths through secluded woodland, paddocks and various large industrial installations.

We walked across the Cleddau Bridge to get onto the other side of the estuary, which was exactly a kilometre long. I don't mind a bridge walk, but it was busy, blustery and noisy.
The weather has been terrific, and today was no exception, mostly sunny with cloudy periods. It did start to drizzle at one point, but we were outside a Welsh Pub - the Ferry House Inn. It just happened to be lunch time - so in we went! We had a Pint and a sanga, and wondered how the "two amigos" were travelling on the C2C's biggest and longest day. We had a chuckle (or two) thinking about it, and had another drink.

All up we did a leisurely 20.3 kilometres, pretty much the same as yesterday. Gailee struggled a bit the day before, blisters aside she managed today pretty well. Legend!

After our leisurely stroll we arrived at our accomodation, the Lord Nelson Hotel in Milford Haven, to find a real life Fawlty Towers.
Enough said about that the better.....

Whilst I am in a glass is half empty mode, I started a four day alcohol free stint today - not by choice. A hangover from the gastro/giardia that I picked up in Portugal. Basil ( or Manuel ), forget my dinner order, and decently offered me a free drink. Shit Shit Shit.
Stooged - super stooged.

Hi Bendy, I hope this one works.... the two amigos completed the walk just fine as we walked an additional 8kms the day before through Richmond so we left at Catterick Bridge (just up from th Farmers Arms Inn) so that the next day was only a paltry 28kms!

Just as well as we wouldn't have made that distance with Marc's blisters and my burning calf muscles! But a cool ale and great night at Park House made up for all the pain!
