The day started with the obligatory group selfie plus a photo of Lib and I outside 'Eaton House' (we tried to book there for last night but it was full due to a wedding).
We set off at 0910 and went back around in front of the castle before setting off to the NW and Pembroke Dock. This section was through some woodland paths which were lovely and a fairly easy walk. Pembroke Dock was like most large towns and involved a lot of road walking. The guide book map was rubbish at first but we managed to get around it ok (the book once again was unreliable).
We crossed over the Cleddau Bridge (1km long and very high above the estuary - massive tidal rip below) and into Neyland on the northern side of the estuary.
We continued along to Hazelbeach and stopped for lunch in the Ferry House Inn. We were there about 45 minutes and luckily for us it rained while we were having lunch but stopped before we started walking again 😁
The path continued to the west past wind turbines and an LNG plant. We didn't see a lot of LNG plant as the path was again through woodlands. The wind turbines were huge and could be heard turning from quite a distance.
Nearing the end of the walk we had to do some road walking on a fairly busy road which had no side walk (not the most pleasant walking). We managed to reduce the road walking a bit by taking an alternative unsigned route (challenging navigation with guide book map). We arrived at the Lord Nelson Hotel at about 1535. A fairly easy days walking. The 100km mark ticked over today.
