With the wind howling, and the temperatures dropping we reluctantly left our warm and cosy Guesthouse, for yet another day of frolicking along the cliffs of South Wales.
And boy did the wind howl!
The first hour was a completely new level of human buffeting. It was horrendously difficult.
But we were not to be deterred.
So we toughed it out until our first hint of civilisation at Nolton Haven, and the girls dumped us!??
They caught a Bus, and left us on the side of the road with our mouths open.
Dumpy Dump Dump ....
So Bendy and Twitchy continued, as the weather deteriorated even further. And then the hills started, really hard climbs, up and down, up and down, up and down. Great scenery as usual, but it was hard yakka under the circumstances.
It did rain slightly when we had lunch at Newgale, so the jackets went back on. It was just one of those days ( jackets on - jackets off ). Eventually the wind dropped and as the sun finally came out, we plodded into the delightful little seaside village of Lower Solva.
All up we did 18.5 kilometres today, which was a lot less than we were anticipating.
Bonus.
Another fun day Pembrokeshire Coast Trail.
