Bendy Day 10 - Broad Haven to Solva

18.5 Km in 6:00
The wind picked up overnight; it was great listening to it in bed last night.  We left just after 0900 and headed off onto the cliff tops again.  We are getting a bit sick of the relentless wind and today it was a real challenge (difficult to maintain balance).

We went past a house built into a hill that we all think we have seen on Grand Designs UK. We got to the small village of Nolton Haven where Lib and Gail caught the bus to Silva (they had had enough of the wind and were not looking forward to the upcoming terrain - good call on their behalf).

After leaving the girls Twitchy and I were immediately hit with steep assets and descents., they were the toughest we have encounter to date. They seemed to go on forever. We stopped at Newgale for lunch. The place was basically a wind swept pebble beach with a pub, a surf shop and a few other buildings. To add to the excitement of the day it began to rain.

Back into really steep climbs and descents for about another 2 hours and then we had our first sight of Solva. We got into Solva at about 1515.

Today was a challenging day even though the distance was not a long way. The wind is getting the better of me.
