Bendy Day 11 - Solva to St Davids

17.75Km in 5:31
Beautiful day for a walk, blue skies, not too hot and best of all NO WIND (just a slight breeze from the land).

We set off close to 0915 and headed back through town to join the path where we left it yesterday. It was fairly easy going but it had a few surprises to come later in the day.

Lib and Gail left us at 1130 in a place called Caerfai Bay and walked into St David's. Twitchy and and I continued on the path.

We were moving at a good pace which was a good idea as there were a lot of chatty people on the path today. It was probably the busiest day we have encountered on the path.

We stopped for a short break at a lovely cove named Porthaclais. I looked at the GPS here and we had done just over 200Km to date 😁. This part of the walk is said to be the most beautiful.

Today there is an Utlra Marathon being held on the path but we were lucky enough to well ahead of the runners so we didn't have too get out their way.

The sea between Ramsey Island and the mainland was a massive rip and standing waves as a result off tidal action - forget about swimming there. In places here the path is right pin the cliff edge and is quite an eye opener (have to take care).

We arrived at St Justinians at about 1440 and caught the 1515 bus to St David's (The bus service is very good but does not trying all year. We arrived at the St David's Cross hotel at about 1530. A quick tour of the cathedral and then dinner at 'The Bishop' pub - good meal but really noisy.
