Twitchy Day 3 - Manorbier to Bosherston

Today started out a tad differently....
I lost my cap! NHJ
I am always losing something, and today was no different. I searched high and low, inside our room and throughout the Hotel, for the damn thing, to no avail. After thinking on it for a bit, I decided to go go back to the Gift and Coffee shop, we all had gone to the previous afternoon. It was closed. Bummer.
It is a funny set up, with a gift store on one side of the ground floor and a coffee shop on the other, with house &/or flat above it. Anyway, I tried the door, it was unlocked, so in I went and the inner door was slightly ajar - well that was an invitation if ever I saw one. So I am now inside the premises, saying hello half heartedly so I don't scare anyone, hunting for my cap. I was on a mission - no cap, no breakfast. From the gift shop side of the counter I could see something in a basket halfway up the stairs to the flat that might be a cap. I went around to the Coffee shop counter, and from a side angle I could see it was indeed a cap - and it was MY cap.
Now all I had do was to work out how to get behind the counter and get it. That was easier said that done, but my mission was accomplished ( not sure how legally ), and then I bolted.

So after all that excitement and frustration dealt with, we left Manorbier behind us and headed out of town and back onto the cliff tops. It was a very cloudy and blustery day, with strong headwinds for the duration. It was so windy, I could not wear the bloody cap, that I had put so much time and effort to retrieve. What the!

The wind howled and hollered, making a complete mess of my hair. By the end of the day I ended up looking like Krusty the Clown. Even though the sun never came out, I got a bad case of windburn.

All up we did 18.1 kilometres, which is not a big day, but was a solid challenge in the conditions. We are slowly building up the length of each day.

Gailee was flagging there for a bit, but after a cup of coffee she was good to go again.
She is a trooper.
