Twitchy Day 14 - Fishguard to Newport.

Almost there .....
Today Bendy and Twitchy went out on the Path on our own again, with the girls deciding to permanently take up the role, of support crew and tourists ( well for tail end of this walk ).
Gailee enjoyed that way too much...

The weather was sensational today, so much better than yesterday's shit storm. Can't complain, as overall as the weather Gods have been pretty kind.

Yesterday's marathon was behind us, and in theory it should have been a walk in the park.
No-n-no. About the 15 kilometre mark, my tootsies were decidedly unhappy. The last three kilometres was hard yakka. It was my turn to limp home.

All in all, it was a pretty uneventful day, but we did meet a few colourful individuals.
Firstly leaving Fishguard, we walked around a corner, and bumped into an old dude ( that means he is older than Bendy & Twitchy ), with a Hawthorn cap. Evidently, he was from Melbourne, and actually lived in Hawthorn.
Then we met this young German woman, who had done 900 kilometres already, and was also doing the PCP. That made our planned 600 kilometres look rather anaemic - a true Wonder Woman. Respect.
Then there was the three stooges, named so because they looked like a daggy English version of Larry Curly & Mo.

Another highlight, more for my amusement than anything else - Bendy had a fall.
Ho Ho Ho
His first one!!!!

So what did we do and where did we go??
We walked up hill and down dale, as per usual for 20.16 kilometres. We stopped for some refreshments at the Old Sailor Inn at the base of Dina's Head, before tackling the hard ( or is that long ) climb to the top.

It was absolutely spectacular, with 360 degree views.

And on we went through a couple of lovely little villages, with Cwm-yr-Eglwys the best of the bunch.

We eventually stumbled into Newport, well in my case hobbled and limped.

Luckily we were staying in a great Pub - the Golden Lion 🦁- and had a few frothies.
Grolsch's again.

Hope my sore and sorry feet, will carry me over the line.
