About the Walks

Jeremy (Bendy) and Geoff (Twitchy) along with their wives Libby and Gail are walking two National Paths in Wales UK - the Pembrokeshire Coast Path and the Offa's Dyke Path.

All times in the blog are in UK local time.

Bendy Day 13 - Trefin to Fishguard

34.7 Km in 9:25

Today was always going to be a ridiculously tough day.  Team Kangi today was divided into 2 groups; the Flyers (Lib and Gail) had a rest day (very wise move) and the Bucks (not so very young bucks Bendy and Twitchy) did the walk.

I am tired and sore so will just summarise the day.

General description:
* Big day
* Big distance
* Big hills
* Hill at end of the day into to the accommodation was an unwelcome addition
* Rain
* Strong wind
* Wind driven stinging rain
* Mud
* Slippery stones
* Rain jackets on,  rain jackets off,  jackets back on (stuff it I'll keep it on)
* Furrowed rocky goat tracks.

Good points:
* We did it
* No injuries (one fall but all all ok)
* We don't have to do it again
* Some wide open sections of the path
* Found lost dog - Diesel the Border Collie
* Meeting Fred the hill climbing Labrador and his owner (twice)
* Seeing the Fliers again
* Dinner and  pints at local pub (the Royal Oak) and meeting 2 lovely but hungry dogs
