Today was a real struggle for me.
Still very weak due to a couple of bugs I just can't shake. I started off OK, but flagged the longer we went on.
We returned to the starting grid on the beach that Gailee and I found the previous night.
Did a few photos and we were off, which meant we had to walk right through the gut of Prestatyn.
So in terms of getting back into the swing of things, it was a challenging start. Weather was great, Path was not too onerous, but we did go off track a couple of times, which is unusual for us. Not that we ever got lost, just Offa's Dyke Path has its own personality.
Today's walk was pretty much saying goodbye to the coast, and heading inland. So from the beach, we went up and up and up and up....
As the weather improved and the sun came out, you could see as far as Anglesey to the left, and to Liverpool on your right.
And believe it or not, I got sunburnt.
A lot of paddock walking, which was nice for a change to get in amongst some farm animals.
We did have a bad Mr Ed that blocked a gate, and refused to move. Bad horsey...
All up 20.5 kilometres.
Good first day all things considered.
